The chances are, you have bought some fitness and muscle building magazines in the past and followed the advice of the so called gurus who write articles in them. Now, don't get me wrong, not all fitness magazines are full of rubbish information and indeed lies.

You probably agree though that there is so much conflicting advice on how much to train, when to train, what to eat, what supplements if any to take, that you are left completely confused by the whole thing, not knowing where to start.

You've guessed it - from all the supplements, pills and powders that they promote endlessly and convince readers into buying month after month in the belief that they are actually needed to achieve great results.

So what is the real truth behind what is needed to build muscles you can be proud of and burning unwanted fat in the process.

Well, let me tell you Truth number 1.

There is no overnight, lazy way in which to get rid of fat and build muscle, at least healthily. So if you think there is, sorry to be blunt, but you would be better not reading any further and going off to continue dreaming about building a great body with no effort on your part.

Truth number 2.

You must follow correct guidelines on what exercises to do, when to do them and how often.

Truth number 3.

You must follow the correct nutrition advice. If you fill your body with the wrong food at the wrong times, you can't possibly expect to build muscle and burn fat.

Now, if you were going to listen to someone who was giving you correct advice regarding these 3 truths, you would be entitled to enquire about their credentials which gives them the right to pass on advice to you.
